Qilianshan tunnel is a key control project in Ganqing section of Lanxin second line. It is located about 60km west of Menyuan Hui Autonomous County in Qinghai Province and at the foot of Qilian Mountain at the junction of Gansu and Qinghai. The total length of tunnel is 9.49km and the average altitude is 3600m-4300m. Qilianshan tunnel, which passes through debris flow and water rich fault fracture zone, is a grade I risk tunnel and key project of Ministry of Railways of China, and is also the highest plateau frozen soil tunnel in the world
